When is a Paper NOT a Paper? - ATF2011

Hi everyone,

No doubt some of you are planning to upload your conference abstract for the MA/IA National Conference "At the Frontier" and are thinking about how best to present your case study or idea or concept or whatever....

Some of you might also be a bit tired of the usual traditional conference formats.  We are, after all, living and working in interesting, dynamic and surprising times, and we would hope our conference can present just such an image.

So in responding to our Call for Abstracts, whilst we talk about "Papers", lets be creative and imaginative about what a "Paper" is.  The Program Committee is certainly looking for exceptional and exciting ideas from our explorers and discoverers out there who have been beyond the Frontier.

Perhaps your Paper is a performance? a film? an interactive media experience? maybe its a web-based activity? a mobile app? a virtual tour? perhaps its a piece of art, an installation, a sound and light show..... ???

So, a Paper isn't always a Paper.....

Here are some examples to get you thinking......

Powerhouse Museum China Heart project

National Museum of Australia Water exhibition

Unguided Tours at Art Gallery of NSW

PS: A traditional paper is still OK!!!!

To lodge your abstract go to: http://www.iceaustralia.com/atf2011/abstracts.html

Good Luck!!
