We are very pleased to be partnered with Propel Youth Arts WA in promoting Prop Fest 09!
Prop Fest is a new initiative by Propel Youth Arts WA – a skills development series designed to inspire and empower young people to engage in visual storytelling through creating a short film. Over four days, video production workshops will be held for budding filmmakers in Perth to develop their digital media and film making skills with award-winning facilitators Tallstoreez Productionz. The full day workshops will provide participants with a fun and interactive introduction to all stages of production, taking a film from birth to launch.
Prop Fest aims to develop digital storytelling in Perth amongst young people by taking them through a hands-on film making experience.
The involvement with Propel Arts has enabled Museums WA to help organise a list of museums and art galleries in which participants of Prop Fest will explore for inspiration for their film.
The arts tour of some of Perth's best Museums, such as our own Western Australia Museum, The Art Gallery of WA, Museum of Performing Arts, WA Maritime Museum and Fremantle Prison will be on offer to stimulate the growth of arts ideas, explore creative themes and gain inspiration to transform these ideas into film.
While applications have now closed, watch this space to see how this great project develops!
