Pinjarra Festival 2012, Pinjarra, WA

The Festival was a great success.  The weather was fine, the crowds in a good mood and with all the events on offer, there was something for everyone, even for the very young with the baby farm animals a great draw card. Tables had been set out on the grass under the trees and proved a welcome spot to rest one's feet and to listen to the music performed by a number of entertainers.

The Friends of Edenvale had a stall to raise money for the Precinct, 'Out of the Ashes' Cookbook which we had printed just before Christmas last year, was on sale.  One of our members also did a one-hour cooking demonstration using two recipes from the cookbook.  These were well received particularly as free samples were handed out for a taste test.

The Roger May Machinery Museum was a hive of activity with numerous engines running both inside and outside.  The seeder and a variety of other early agricultural machinery was on display outside as were the tractors.  Lots of children were kept entertained by the demonstration of old fashioned domestic objects and the model steam engines.
