Museums and Heritage

Museums Australia WA produces a series of Regional Museums, Galleries and Heritage brochures.

The purpose of these brochures is to promote a region’s museums, galleries and heritage places, which are valuable community resources with an important role in the development of sustainable regional and local economies and communities. The brochures assist in enhancing community pride and sense of place, and develop the profile of museums and heritage places generally.

Award Winning Partnership

In 2008 the Metropolitan brochure project won the WA Business and the Arts Partnership awards for the best first time partnership with the Heritage Council of WA.

In 2005, the Mid-West regional brochure was “highly commended” in the WA Business Arts Partnership Awards.

Brochures available

Brochures are available from participating sites within each region and from Visitor and Tourist Information Centres. Brochures are currently available for:
