Most bursaries are available to assist unpaid workers (volunteers), part-time workers and full-time students from local, regional, remote museums, galleries and keeping places to attend the full conference program.

A number of bursaries are available for full-time paid workers employed in small museums (including local government).

 General Conditions:

  • If you are awarded a bursary from one of the groups listed above, it is expected that you will attend sessions and meetings organised by those groups.
  • If successful, you are to provide a report by Friday 16 December 2011 to the Committee discussing your conference experience.
  • Applications for funding will be assessed by the Conference Committee and those MA National Networks and Branches offering bursaries. Applications which support at least 30% of their individual costs will be favoured.
  • To ensure all bursary applicants are eligible for the early bird rates, bursary applicants MUST register online for the conference, however, they should not pay for the registration until after allocation of bursaries. Unsuccessful bursary applicants will be given an additional week to pay for their registration, or where unable to attend without a bursary, to cancel their registration without penalty.
