Oral History Association of Australia (W.A. Branch) Inc. invites you to join us at the CONFERENCE 2010:
Voices of Change: Tracking Communities using Oral History.

A welcome reception will be hosted by the Shire of Serpentine Jarrahdale on Friday evening at 5.30pm.

The conference programme includes an interesting line-up of speakers and a number of recording and transcribing workshops:

 Clive Taylor is coming from Adelaide to present a Video Recording Workshop with Dr Peter Gifford

 ‘10,000 kilometres of family’ has tracked the changing lives of families, the essence of community, mostly from properties ranging from sheep and cattle stations to dairy farms..

 A hopeless hill: oral histories from Claremont-Graylands Hospital, 1940-1995 explores over seventy years of Claremont Hospital for The Insane.

 Explore and learn of the changes that have taken place in the community of Jarrahdale:

 Keynote speaker is Siobhan McHugh. Siobhan is an award-winning writer and documentary-maker with broad experience of oral history as a practitioner, teacher and consultant.
