For over 35 years, AC/DC have stuck to playing ‘good, hard rock and roll’ and working almost nonstop. AC/DC have gone from playing small pubs and clubs in their home town of Sydney, to theatres, arenas and now stadiums across the globe. They have now sold over 200 million copies of their 18 original albums, and completed 60 substantial tours.
They are an icon of Australian music but more than that, they are one of the world’s greatest Rock and Roll bands. Music fans from across the globe have rocked out to songs such as Thunderstruck, You Shook Me All Night Long, Dirty Deeds Done Dirt Cheap, Highway to Hell and the classic T.N.T. Now the Arts Centre, Melbourne, in partnership with the Western Australian Museum has created and exhibition celebrating the history, music and performance of AC/DC.
AC/DC: Australia’s Family Jewels celebrates the creativity of one of the world’s greatest Rock and Roll bands in a lively and engaging way that is both informative and entertaining for the audience. Within the confines of an exhibition format AC/DC: Australia’s Family Jewels connects the material history of the band to the experience of their music
