FESA invites members of Museums Australia WA to a guided tour of their new Fire and Emergency Services Education and Heritage Centre.
The Centre incorporates all hazard and emergency responses associated with FESA; an education centre for schools and community groups; and showcases the history of fire brigades in Western Australia. The building has been beautifully refurbished and exhibits have been modernised to increase the heritage interpretation of the site. Its heritage significance is supported by a collection of vintage fire service appliances, historical archives and memorabilia, some of which will be on display. The all-hazards gallery currently focuses on the elements of fire (bushfire and structure fire) and water (flood, tsunami, storm surge and water rescue).
